wow...

My sister pointed this blog out to me...it's fascinating. But those bugs are disgusting.

We're so removed from it all in this country. (Or maybe we just have less obvious symbolism to deal with...) Thinking of the things that we do to each other, physically and emotionally, makes me feel ill.

So far this year, someone I know has died every month. Not a particularly delightful thought.

specifically this is the yucky bug post. I keep going back to that post over and over and it just blows my mind. the other posts on that blog are also interesting.

It kind of makes me wonder, were there people like you in Megiddo? Were there people who were not content to sit by and let these things happen? Did anyone speak up or did they all give themselves over to evil? For all the problems this country has, we still have people who are not willing to be silenced (I'm not talking the wackos either). I know sometimes it seems impossible to make a difference on a large scale, but I believe there's a ripple effect and that we were specifically placed where we are to affect the lives of those around us. Whether or not we do so is up to us, but I think anyone who's met you would say you do make a difference. Bottom line is I don't think we see that kind of symbolism here because we haven't completely given in. There are still voices for hope & truth & justice & righteousness.
